C-130 Hercules®
The Lockheed C-130 Hercules is a 4-engine turboprop military transport aircraft specifically designed to operate from rough, dirt strips. This capability allows the C-130 to transport troops and supplies to remote areas. The plane first entered service with the U.S. in 1956 and is now the main tactical airlifter for many military forces worldwide. The C-130 is the longest continuously produced military aircraft, having achieved 70 years of production in 2024.
