Trained from youth to be a sword wielded in the defense of humanity, Master Chief John-117 is a peerless master of warfare who has single-handedly saved Earth twice in recent memory. The Warthog is the UNSC's primary ground transportation vehicle, with the M12B Force Application Vehicle (FAV) serving as the most ubiquitous variant. Fitted with a full-rotation turret and heavy machine gun, the M12B FAV serves as a multi-role combat vehicle that can engage enemy light armor and aircraft with equal efficacy.
Available in a bewildering number of models and unique variants, the D-79 Pelican dropship is the UNSC’s most recognizable troop and materiel transport. These workhorse craft are equally at home in orbit and atmosphere, and have even been pressed into use for short interplanetary trips.
The Mantis is an all-environment bipedal walker used by the UNSC military. An evolution of earlier research and development involving military exoskeletons, the Mantis also integrates many technologies – such as shield generators and neural interface controls - created for the Spartans’ MJOLNIR power armor. The Mantis weapon package consists of a M655 20mm rotary autocannon and six-chamber M5920 rocket launcher.
The MA5D Assault Rifle is the latest model of Misriah Armory's famous MA5 Individual Combat Weapon System (ICWS) series. These exceptionally resilient, gas-operated, magazine-fed, automatic rifles are lethally efficient, regardless of hostile environmental conditions or duration of use in the field.
Compact, nimble, and bristling with firepower, the Phaeton gunship provides air support for Promethean forces. Employed in the billions during the Forerunners’ long, fruitless, war against the virulent Flood the Phaeton once again takes to the skies to strike against Covenant and UNSC forces.
The M290-M “Gungoose” is the latest military version of the popular Mongoose all-terrain vehicle produced by AMG Transport Dynamics. Fitted with two grenade launchers, the Gungoose retains the Mongoose’s famous maneuverability while allowing for Spartan drivers to conduct harassing hit-and-run strikes.
The Scorpion’s rugged, adaptable design has changed little from its origins at the dawn of human interstellar colonization. This vehicles has remained in service due a combination of affordability, simplicity, and versatility that is difficult to match by other – supposedly superior – designs. The Scorpion’s functional uses are numerous and varied, though the UNSC uses it predominantly for direct assault, localized defense, and anti-armor operations. The new M820 model of the storied Scorpion is half the mass of the old M808, yet has nearly identical firepower and armor protection.
Systems Alliance frigates, named after the great battles of human history, are among the larger warships capable of traveling between star systems in the interactive world of Mass Effect. Smaller combat support craft, fighters, and interceptors are used in a support role to the warships during combat. Fighters are a one-man craft used to perform close-range attacks on enemy ships. One of these is the SX3 Alliance Fighter.
Is a USAF twin engine stealth attack aircraft that was developed in Lockheed’s secretive Skunk Works division.
It was the first operational aircraft to be designed around stealth technology. The F-117 was well publicized for its role in the Persian Gulf War and remained active until 2008 when it was replaced by the F-22 Raptor
Is a supersonic variable-sweep wing, heavy bomber used by the United States Air Force and is commonly referred to as the bone due to its “B-1” designation. It is one of three strategic bombers in the U.S. Air Force fleet as of 2018. The other two are the B-2 Spirit "Stealth Bomber" and the B-52 Stratofortress
The Apollo 11 moon landing required two spacecraft- The lunar module (LM) and command service module (CSM). Once in lunar orbit, the two would separate so the LM could land while the CSM waited in orbit. After launching from the lunar surface, the LM’s ascent stage would rendezvous and dock with the waiting CSM, then the astronauts would transfer back into the main spacecraft and head home. It sounds nearly impossible but that’s the way it was July 20, 1969.
Saturn V: President Kennedy said, “we choose to go to the moon” The Saturn V is how we got there! This 3-stage expendable rocket was developed by NASA to support the US Apollo space program between 1967 and 1973. The “V” referenced the five giant F-1 rocket engines clustered at the bottom of the Saturn V’s first stage.
